Grievance & Disciplinary Investigations

One of the most time consuming aspects of employing people. Managers in organisations become bogged down with individual cases and are distracted from their day jobs.

Conducting investigations into grievance and disciplinary issues can be time-consuming, expensive and potentially disruptive. Carried out incorrectly or with insufficient thoroughness they can also result in serious legal, financial and reputational risks for any organisation.

Marshall-James offers a complete solution for managing and conducting investigations into any grievance or disciplinary matter, keeping costs down and freeing up line managers' and HR departments' time.

We offer an initial response time of two hours during the working day within which we will appoint an appropriate investigator to see the case through. All cases are different but we aim to complete investigations within seven days. Employment law support, minute-takers and administration back-up are all available where necessary, and a supervisor is appointed to oversee every case.

We can clear your backlog, work on a one-off basis or provide on-going support to manage cases over a defined period. We conduct the investigation, we don't make any decisions that a manager should make – our service is not an excuse for managers to abdicate their responsibility. The value of using is that we will conduct the investigation and provide the manager with the information to make the best and most informed decision possible.
